For those of you who don,t know Amy Winehouse she was born into a North London Jewish Family in 1983, she was the youngest of two children to taxi driver father and pharmacist mother. In 1996, at age 12, Amy won a space in the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School but was expelled for getting her nose pierced. She started writing songs at the age of 14, one year after receiving her first guitar.
On July 23 2011 the singer and song writer was discovered dead in her bed in London home. After initial autopsy results proved inconclusive, a coroner has determined that Amy Winehouse died from consuming an extreme amount of alcohol. Amy had struggled for many years with substance abuse. There were no illegal drugs in her system at the time of death police detectives said there were a lot of empty vodka bottles discovered in her room. According to the results of the autopsy the 27 year old singer passed away with a blood alchohol level more than five times the limit for drinking and driving.

According to the doctor of Amy Winehouse the singer had began drinking again shortly before her death. Dr. Romete had also seen Amythe night before her deat claiming that the singer was “tipsy but calm”. Last month Amys father Mitch had speculated that she had died from alchohol withdrawl and could have overdosed on Librium, a drug she was using to treat her condition.
